Seafront - hmmm, let me see. The road with a beach and the sea on one side? Blimey, is that the seafront? No wonder I missed Chips in June.....
Which bike do I take? The Kanguro or the Corsaro? Decisions.....

I'd love to be over for this as well. I've been over twice this year though and management is hinting about a proper sunshine holiday for 2015 with ouzo, kleftiki and the like. If you know where to get this on the island it may just help....
A good place to watch is Rhencullen. Best see the Senior/fast stuff there. My 3 1/2 is coming along nicely too...

Me and my strada will be over there as usual. We stay in Peel in a cottage that apparently only sleeps 6....

Help!
Looking for accommodation 28th August to 3rd September. Sold Sold Sold = looking popular.
Got a campsite lined up but would prefer to be closer to Douglas.
Thanks,
Mike.

Hi Mike;
Have sent you an e-mail with a possible solution - if you're quick and don't mind sharing...
Good riding,
CC

Thanks in advance.

If the weather holds (and it won't) camping is probably your best option. You get woken up early sleeping under hedges...
Good luck!

Could someone please let me know where the highlander is
I know ive read it somewhere on here or maybe atg but cant seem to find it
Little hope for me turning up if i cant even find the address let alone the actual venue
So if you see a lost looking morini rider it could well be me
Thanks in advance
Any help in finding the IoM also greatly appreciated

Hi Viridi, go to either Liverpool or Heysham then turn West, a boat might be useful though.

1st big pointy rock in the Irish sea.
Once you arrive in Douglas, follow the road signed for 'Peel and the West', the highlander is on the right hand side about halfway to Peel. It is now a restuarant rather than a pub but I think it still uses the same name, which is helpful. This is on the TT course a little way after Glen Vine and comes shortly after a pedestrian crossing. Long straight very fast downhill section-but it's a 40mph limit unless you're competing. Have you tried googling the restaurant? That ought to get you booked in.
Enjoy yourselves all you lucky gits-I can't go unless the lottery comes up this week.

OK;
The Highlander (now appears to be a Steak House) is between the 5th and 6th milepost on the IoM circuit (the A1, but not the one that Mickey Moto rides along often). That means that its after Crosby as you ride clockwise around the TT circuit coming away from the metropolis that is Douglas....
If you type Crosby into Streetmap (Google Maps are rubbish for the Island

) it'll put you close to it, just about 1 kilometer to the east. There are no OS maps to 1:25000 scale, so you have to make do with the 1:50,000 map that comes up. Funnily enough, my 2005 edition OS (Ordnance Survey) map has the Highlander marked. For example;
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=23 ... sle+of+Man
You can also Google The Higlander and look up the steakhouse in Crosby, as Steve says, but there is no website, etc... It is the Island, lost somewhere in a timewarp around 1960 something!
Alternatively, fix up to meet with us /some-one else beforehand (we're there on the Friday later in the evening...)
