FIXED!!
It turned out to be the shambles of wires for the idiot lights - one purple was not connected correctly. Many thanks for your help Julian - I'll buy you a pint (or two) at the AGM.

Just back from a 20 mile evening ride, half of which was on green lanes. The bike seems to be going really well and everything is still working - time for a pint to celebrate!

James, 'twas wonderful to meet you at the Rally and AGM and to see the bike in good working order. Well done on fixing the electrics and for testing the bike on the green lanes on route.
