lamba sensor and race ecu

if using a race ecu where the lamba is not used will the lamba become sooted or damaged if not "used"

Is it better to remove the lamba and fit a blanking plug when using the race ecu.

If the lambda is not connected there is no point in having it fitted...is the race ecu open loop
