Skid Marks

Post by nicko »

Hmm, just joined the dual carriageway and was increasing speed when......engine cut out  , locking rear wheel and inducing some weave.....there was more than one skid mark I can tell you...... :)

Hi Nicko,

Any damage to you or the bike?

No damage to either me or the bike, kept upright and pulled over to the side of the road. At first I thought that the chain had snapped but I guess that it was just one of those things.

Same thing happened to me - see thread here

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1693

After it happned the bike took to cutting out as well when it got hot, don't know if it was coincidence or not but it's now sorted after undertaking a raft of Frankenstein experiments to try and isolate the cause. (including bypassing the Lambda and stepper motors)

managed to get it running OK again now.
