Camel Mk1/2 Exhaust
Hi all, anybody got a usable original set of exhaust pipes and silencers for the above for sale, please? Some repair work not objected to. Even something with only a short life span remaining would be a help.

These are very very very very rare...
A good alternative is the Kanguro X1 exhaust though, not many about but less rare than the first series Camel

Hi Steve, you were very lucky finding a tank and seat so there is always a chance of getting an exhaust?
I'll have to look but I may still have some exhaust pipes from a 501 Coguaru (same as 501 Camel) which could be a starting point?
let me know what you think and good luck in the quest, Ian

Hi Hombre, I know they are rare but still need to ask. I'm having a set made and the lead time is being constantly stretched out. I obviously don't shout enough at suppliers. Thanks for the kanguro tip though, hadn't realised they would be similar enough.hombre wrote:These are very very very very rare...

Yes, I was lucky there! It could happen again you never know...That Coguaro set will be a twin silencer type no? I think it may upset my plans for the equipment under the side panels but thanks anyway.'It must be a .....' wrote:Hi Steve, you were very lucky finding a tank and seat so there is always a chance of getting an exhaust?

Talking of sidepanels, I got an email the other day from the guy holding the moulds for sidepanels-he's found them again! So I hope to fetch them soon. I wonder how many people might be interested in some repros? Have also been looking at getting them made in plastic, that remains an option too as there is a specialist not far from me.

You are having a set made? Meaning the downtubes? Or the muffler?
If I remember well there was one in the Italian club that makes mufflers for 2-2 models (501, Coguro etc)

Full set, pipes and silencer. Copying the original style but will be subtly different. (If it ever gets finished) I'll post some pics of it when fitted. (When!)

Ah okay, I'll be anxiously awaiting at my mailbox

Not sure if it's any use to you but I have the pipes from a Kangaru floating about somewhere. I bought it for the engine only to fit in my 250, if you (or anyone else...) wants them you are welcome FOC email me on birtwh@gmail.com. I'm sure there is some favour you can return, ie loan of special tools!
