Re: Transducers
You are lucky enough to have the original pick up as the NLM one can be a difficult thing to set up I've had the NLM pick up fitted for years. It's not that hard to set it up. I find using a piece of paper to set the gap is the way to go (you can't use standard feeler gauges because of the magnets)...

Re: Mirror Mount
I recently bought a "GP Clutch Lever Mount 7/8" front brake perch for my 3 1/2 Sport from 4into1motorcycleparts on eBay (because the action is so much better than the Morini original). I complimented this with an alloy mirror mount from AliExpress. Some nice AliExpress 10cm stainless mirro...

Re: low to mid range flat spot
What model are they please VM28's (probably a bit bigger than necessary, but re-jetting isn't that difficult). You also need the "top hat" type plastic/metal insert that goes into the carburetor mouth to allow them to be mounted to the standard Morini rubbers (I bought aluminium ones from...

Re: low to mid range flat spot
Didn’t really want to go to the expense of that really, I guess it’s new cables as well ? Yes, home-made cables using Sturmey Archer three speed bicycle bits. I struggled for years trying to tune the Dellorto square slide carburetors. The Mikuni carburetors took a little while to get right, but onc...

A cheap master cylinder from AliExpress works very well indeed (their braded steel brake lines are good too!)

Just to add my $0.02 worth - the indicators have provision for an earth wire - I highly recommend utilizing this

Re: Engine Oil
I use Penrite MC4ST 20W-50 motorcycle premium mineral oil. It has "FULL ZINC MAXIMUM PROTECTION". My 1979 Honda CBX gearbox is the smoothest it's ever been with this oil. I noticed other oils I had used for years steadily reduced their zinc levels.

Re: Clutch question
When I was rebuilding the engine on my '76 3 1/2 Sport I broke the clutch basket and had to buy a whole 2nd hand clutch from Germany. So, I have a few spare steel plates. If you PM me your address I'll pop it in the post. It may take a little while to arrive, because I'm in Australia... Trevor https...

Re: Clutch question
The replacement cables I have bought have ALL had an inner that was too long. This is my solution: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52261656862_3ebba2ec3a_c.jpg It's a long aluminium cap head screw, with the centre drilled and a slot made with a Dremel. I also have one of these on my Honda CB350 ...
