Re: Brake Bleed Nipple

The ball bearing rusted in my caliper and wouldn't seal properly. I didn't realise this, and in an attempt to stop the slight weep, I stripped the thread. I repaired the caliper using a Wilwood metric brake bleeder insert. This required drilling and a helicoil. I had to modify the bottoming tap so ...

I fitted a Honda style clutch perch to my 3 1/2 Sport, that's also fitted with swan-neck clip ons. Huge improvement

Re: Transducers

You are lucky enough to have the original pick up as the NLM one can be a difficult thing to set up

I've had the NLM pick up fitted for years. It's not that hard to set it up. I find using a piece of paper to set the gap is the way to go (you can't use standard feeler gauges because of the ...

Re: Mirror Mount

I recently bought a "GP Clutch Lever Mount 7/8" front brake perch for my 3 1/2 Sport from 4into1motorcycleparts on eBay (because the action is so much better than the Morini original). I complimented this with an alloy mirror mount from AliExpress. Some nice AliExpress 10cm stainless mirrors ...

Re: low to mid range flat spot

What model are they please

VM28's (probably a bit bigger than necessary, but re-jetting isn't that difficult). You also need the "top hat" type plastic/metal insert that goes into the carburetor mouth to allow them to be mounted to the standard Morini rubbers (I bought aluminium ones from NLM ...

Re: low to mid range flat spot

Didn’t really want to go to the expense of that really, I guess it’s new cables as well ?

Yes, home-made cables using Sturmey Archer three speed bicycle bits.

I struggled for years trying to tune the Dellorto square slide carburetors. The Mikuni carburetors took a little while to get right ...
