If you are looking for a cheep'ish fun light modern day Morini
then test ride one of the new Yamaha MT-07 twin's, 170 odd kg
fully fuel'd pulls very well from low revs, feels like a V twin 74bhp
good on fuel think I am going to chop my Burgman in on one but
no intention of getting rid of the Strada.

Re: Fun modern day Morini
Well done Yamaha for producing a couple of decent affordable everyday bikes. These are the bikes needed to keep motorcycling going. Other manufacturers please take note.
I understand there is a 48hp A2 license version too.

The 48 bhp is done by fitting a free kit that can be removed when you pass the test.
It's a nice bike to ride, pulls like a train but will trickle through town at 30 mph in 5th
and pull well from 40 in 6th, 5000 rpm is about 75 mph in 6th. 270% crank so as that
lazy V twin sound and feel, doesn't feel any heaver than my Strada to push about.
