3 1/2 fuse box
Another request, this time for a fuse box for a 3 1/2 Sport/Strada that's in good health. The one on my old 3 1/2 seems to have suffered a major meltdown around the left most fuse which is no longer there at all. One of the previous owners seems to have then modified the wiring to bypass this fuse. As my bike also has the Sachs Ignition it's not quite as simple as restoring the standard functionality. There are several fuse boxes on eBay from Germany, however by the time I've added the postage it's around £40 for one of them. I'm hoping one of you has one available for less.

Re: 3 1/2 fuse box
I'm pretty sure I have one in the garage (no 'lid' though) that I will never use. I'll check when I get home tonight. If I have still got it you can have it for the cost of the postage.

Cool, thank you very much. I've got a picture of the legend and have now recreated that in a PowerPoint presentation so I can refer to it and print it out. Once I find somewhere practical to put the image online I'll post a link to it in the forum so others can print it too.

George, your PM seemed to have gone astray so I've sent you one. Here's hoping it reaches you. Else you're welcome to email or call me.
Re: 3 1/2 fuse box
Check that you'll end up with the right fusebox, there are different types around as are the inserted cards. In the pic you see a grey and black one, but the grey one also comes in black.

Re: 3 1/2 fuse box
@hombre, thanks for providing the pictures of these two types. I need the one that has the full set of terminals top and bottom, the one you have in black.

Re: 3 1/2 fuse box
Ok. The one I am sending you has a full set of terminals, and the 'bridging' sections are mostly the same. It is identical to the black one with the exception of the upper left top terminals (1 and 2) are bridged whereas on the black one they look to be seperate.
For what it is worth, the one I have for you is from a 1978 non electric start model with 6 terminal ignition switch if that helps?
George.

Re: 3 1/2 fuse box
Than it's probably the right one (and also the right one in the picture... to avoid Clockwise-kind-of-mixups )
The one on the left in the picture is from the first series 3 1/2 (but also comes in black)

Re: 3 1/2 fuse box
George,
Thanks for confirming which one. It's for a 1978 3 1/2 sport non-electric-start model so I think it'll be suitable. And it's going to be better than the one I have currently which overheated in a past life.
