I could do with a new Clutch Lever for my Sport as on the existing one the pivot hole has worn a bit oval. Presently none available on Mdina Website (plus quite expensive) has anyone any ideas for sourcing a replacement ? There must be other levers around for various bikes that are either similar or the same.
For example I bought a brake lever for my Beta Alp that was sold as for an Aprilia but was more or less the same, and only a tenner ! so surely there is something similar or the same around for the Morini.
On another tack, received a new clutch cable for the Sport from Venhill but the inner is hugely over length as mentioned on this Forum before, I wonder where they got their dimensions from ???
Thanks Phil

Re: Clutch Lever
Can you post a picture of your clutch lever- not all Morini are the same. Also, plenty of opportunity over the years for non standard parts to have been fitted.
Both of these factors present a problem for cable manufacturers as the required free length can vary. Best bet with cables is either to make your own or if you’re not happy doing that, measure the required free length and confirm with whoever is supplying the cable.
Anyway, back to your question re levers. For the later dog-leg type I’ve bought these in the past. Not always a direct drop-in fit but cheap enough and can be made to work without looking too far off original

Re: Clutch Lever
I can endorse this as something that also worked for me. It works if...
- the elongation of the hole isn't massive, and
- you have a way of making a hole that is true with the centre of the original hole (harder than you might think, since any normal drill tries to go to the middle of the worn slot instead) try using a small "slot drill" and clamp it all up in a drill press so it doesn't move out of alignment.
A small slot drill is a cheap flat ended "drill" usually used in a milling machine or lathe and can be used in other applications.

Far be it for me to harp on about BMWs but this bush is fitted in my R75/7 lever and on my K1 Sport. I had to enlarge the pivot hole slightly and anticipated inducing a stress fracture….. but that was ten years ago.
