Hello. Simon here. Joined the club about a year ago, had never ridden a Morini, but had a plan. I remember reading the reviews in UBG, seeing the odd 3 1/2 on the road and saying one day I’ll try one and see. Fast forward about 30 years. So found a K3 Sport a few months ago and was hooked. The Sport has now been joined by a later Strada. I’ve had all sorts in those years from sports bikes, trail and old classic Brit Iron, but it feels like I’ve finally found the right bike! Based in Wiltshire.

Thought I'd better pop in & say hello after getting back on a Morini after 17yrs away. My Morini history - Older brother had a 350 sport & then a 500 maestro from late 70s until late 80s, I then bought the 500 (TTR5T) from him which I kept until 1992 before buying a house & getting a Guzzi lemans V, can't quite remember when I got another 500 but ended up getting two because one was a bit troublesome, then 2006 came around & I sold them both to finance a Guzzi Centauro V10. Then in 2023 Motohub tempted me back with a delicious 1200 Scrambler - my what a bike :D So far I've managed to get to a Morini ride out from Benson & what a friendly crew you are.

Ok , what to say? ...if I tell too much...the chance for a successful follow up book is scuppered.
Paul from south Warwickshire here, coming back to the morini after 13 years recently purchased a 75' sport (blimey they went up in price). So nice the simplicity over computer chips and half a dozen riding modes.
I'm an old boy who thinks he's late 20's, the morini is my 165th bike, mostly Japanese a lot being two strokes, although this is my third morini 3.5, other Italians ...two laverda Montjuic and a 3ce, two guzzi lemon & a v11.
Calmed down a bit and have the morini, a bmw cafe racer and a daft yamaha tzr250rs.
If I learn how to...ill stick a few pics up.
Cheers Paul.

Hi Paul, pretty new myself, last summer. I’ve a 81 500 Sport, 77 Laverda Jarama and a 94 Ducati 900 Supersport. Come along to the event I help organise annually, The Marches Moto Italia, 1st June, see recent ATG.
Steve.

Good evening everyone!

I'm Juan Carlos from Spain. Riding an adorable Dart 350 which I saved and restored a year ago. My second Dart, as the firat one I had was also my first motorcycle... Well, aside from the Bultaco Frontera 370 when I was a kid. Now in my fifties, Suzuki SV 650 S and TL 1000 R were in between. Still looking for a new father for the later.

Many thanks to awesome Mark for helping me join this great place. I'm also in Morinis forum at spanish "www.lamaneta.org/forolamaneta".

Always amazed at how Brits are so fond and knowledgeable about these bikes. You guys got good taste!

Note taken!
Have you been at the meeting in San Javier/Murcia in may?
Sure, great time! Pity nothing got documented in "lamaneta" forum, there were a ton of photos in the... "other forum" (whatsapp group :( )
Two very busy days, I still wonder at how you guys get to know each other personally. Because every minute is busy with talking about motorcycles, or riding motorcycles!
I made 1100 km to my Dart, including hiding behind a bridge when a big rain came over me. Also got lost inside Murcia city, got to destination a full hour later than our slower pal, that was carrying two bikes on a trailer!
I noticed worse carburettion at sea level, as expected. But the worst thing was that the electric start, which worked flawlessly until that night, failed continously since the following morning. I was quite upset, but learned that Morinis are a joy to jump start, very easy in second gear with no big speed. You won't believe the cause of the failure... Every Morini failure is actually a silly little thing!
Aside from that, great dinner at Carlos place friday night, stupendous roads on saturday morning guided by his son, and most of all, great people! Olaf was there with his Sport, stole the show with his outfit :D
Lost count (and some names) of the great guys I met. And being able to enter the military base on saturday morning (a Carlos exclusive), and take photos with one of the C-101 trainer planes of Patrulla Aguila was the icing on top.

Wow, I've just summarized my trip to Murcia right here!

That sounds very good!
I imagine the dinner in Carlos patio, o did you have to change to the garage because of rain? He is a great cook and anfitión!
It´s a pity that the fantastic working Morini-subforum in Lamaneta is almost dead after beginning with the whatsapp group. As you may know I´ve struggled for years to avoid that, but ... All these people know each other because I ´ve entered in Lamanata in 2007 and raised a lot the morini dust in spain  Before that nobody did know of the others. The first spanish morini meeting in 2009 was organized from Lübeck/Germany
Living in Pinto you should join Pedro/Saarinen and his son from El Escorial to do the trip to the next years meeting together (wherever it will be)

Dinner was outside in the patio. I think that rain only poured over me on the road, everyone else was dry... Well, at least in the outside :D.
That garage is mindboggling. There was a Dart naked in the bench. And not a fairing for it: TWO  And literally countless bits and spares everywhere. Could have spent hours there.

I understand your grief for the whatsapp groups replacing internet forums. Heck, a forum runs circles ("le da mil vueltas") around any chat app... But those are handheld, require less attention, and we live in a world of lazyness, to an extent. Forums are organized, independant, and if cared for, eternal. Go search some term about some subject you know was told years ago in a group chat...

Didn't know about how you sparked Morini interest in Spain from that forum. Now I undrestand your grief more: It''s not just technical.
