Original headlight for Mk1/1.5 Camel

Members: Anyone know where one can acquire the correct rubber encased headlight, that goes on the 1981/82 Camel500 mk1? Also what is the size of the headlight? I am guessing 130mm.

Hi Clark, sorry I don't know where you will find a CEV rubber headshell (void of any part number). Like the rear light rubber mount they never turn up for sale.
The NVT Rambler used the same headlight but the shell had an additional hole for a switch.

The light unit is 140mm/5 1/2" and a 5 3/4" Cibie will fit.
The original CEV 198 plasic lens/reflector is poor and the reflector melts making things worse, the later CEV 187 Glass/metal version is still a very poor light.

It must be a: Thanks for the response, thought I would give a shot via the MRC. My Camel is a U.S. import burdened with the DOT requirements here, large size. I just like the smaller original size. I will try some of my Italian contacts.
