Conrod movement

I have a wornout little end bush which im changing but am interested in how much side to side movement there should be on the conrod from the big end. up and down there is no movement.

you wil always get a bit of end float, as you say its the up and down play that matters, its probably in the blue book, once piston is on and back in the cylinder it should be fine , hope this is of some help.
